“I knew Dua Lipa sometimes sings songs by local artists, but I never expected this. I was completely in shock. I hesitated, but I texted my manager to ask if he could try reaching out to her team—just to maybe meet her, shake her hand and thank her for singing the song. And it actually worked. So I went backstage with my friend Tereza Ramba, and we met.

When I asked if she’d mind taking a photo, she asked what I was doing the next day and if I’d be at her second concert. I said I hadn’t planned on it, but of course I could be. And right then she said, ‘So why don’t we sing that song together?’ And we’ll take the photo tomorrow, then. We walked away and I honestly didn’t believe it until the moment I stepped onto the stage that second night.”

“And it’s a sign. Even though we’re a small country and often feel inferior, like big things can’t happen to us—maybe for someone else it’s a small thing, but for me, as a singer, to perform with one of the biggest stars in the world is proof that big things can happen.”
